Best, yet so simple advise from one of my chef

- work harder than others, nothing comes from nothing, you have to be better, quicker and faster than others this will give you the edge others don't have
- be honest, lying is always a bad thing and most people will remember a lie. We all make mistake, I make mistake every day, stay to it and learn from it.
- learn until your last breath, life is a learning curve for all of us, even the worlds best chefs keeps learning, take everything on you think can help you to develop your skills
- obviously you need to have excellent technical skills to be a world class chef, read books, try things by "learning by doing",
- never give up, there is always a solution for the problem, even the most dreadful situation has positive side to it, if you on the bottom the only way is up :-)
- treat people with respect, remember we are all different, no human being is the same as another, like the fingers on our hand.
- and last but not least stay positive and keep a good attitude, this is probably the most important of all.
